Ah, March. To some, it’s a time of saying f*ck you to winter and hello to spring, for others it’s March Madness and basketball games galore. And if you’re a horror fan, you may now look at March as DEATH MARCH: TOURNAMENT OF BLOOD!!!
But why? And what the shit is DEATH MARCH, you ask? Check this out: Death March is a completely interactive experience where registered users will vote on the most insidious icons of horror and have them battle it out in a more literal sense—with knives, claws and chainsaws on FEARnet.com.
Wow, sounds like fun, right? The icons of horror are actually broken out into different ‘teams,’ and you’re gonna love who’s on what. First up, it’s “Holiday Killers” led by Michael Myers, then “Killer Pets” headed by Cujo, “Disturbed Dads” team headed by Jack Torrence, and “Vampires” led by Dracula himself. There’s also a team of “Possessed Kids” and “Killer Puppets” – about 16 separate team brackets in all.
FEARnet is hoping this is the ultimate interactive ‘tent-pole’ event, and begs horror fans and members of FEARnet to play the end-all and be-all of ‘what if.’ If you thought AVP, and FREDDY VS JASON were fun, it’s time to take it to the next level.
