Feed North America

The boys at Fangoria received word today that TLA Releasing has picked up the North American rights to the Aussie thriller FEED.

Directed by Brett Leonard (who also did the very cool for its time THE LAWNMOWER MAN), the film follows a cyber-detective as he investigates grisly murders committed among the subculture of “feeders and gainers”—men sexually obsessed with obese females, and the women they deliberately overfeed to achieve that ideal. The movie will premiere at this year’s Philadelphia Film Festival in April, with a DVD release slated for this fall on TLA Video’s Danger After Dark label.

After reading up on the film as well as seeing the trailer on the official site, I can safely say that it’ll be a while before I touch a hamburger. Stay hungry.
