So we’ve been keeping you in the loop on a flick called THE BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDERS for a little while; not only because it sounds like a cool movie, but because it happens to feature our very own ARROW!
Yes, John Fallon is gracing the screen with his glorious mug once again, which doesn’t happen often enough if you ask me. (Not just being a kiss-up here – the man’s got “it”!)
But that’s not exactly the news right now. The news happens to be that the lead actor, Cameron Douglas (a.k.a. Michael’s son), has left the project, due to legal troubles.
He has now been replaced by the one and only Corey Feldman. Feldman was previously cast as “Detective Fuller”, but due to the sudden nature of Douglas’ departure, has stepped into the lead role. Hey, I’m all for it!
Here’s something else: We’ve learned that Feldman will begin filming after he’s done shooting LOST BOYS 3 in South Africa! Yes, indeed it appears as though that flick is in full swing.
So what’s THE BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDERS about? After six years, former drug addict Jason Starkweather is released from prison. Placed in a halfway house and in a dead end job he struggles to suppress the urge to return to his old ways. His ex-girlfriend Sarah Fugate works in a brothel to pay her way through university while living with an abusive older man. Desperate to make up for his past mistakes, Jason tracks Sarah down. A shocking incident reunites the couple and they go on the run, fleeing the authorities while rekindling their love for one another. After a number of incidents on the road, including betrayal by a friend of Jason’s, the couple take sanctuary in the house of affluent Richard and his daughter Shannon. Eventually the unlikely foursome are brought together by the shared pain of their pasts and forge a genuine bond as the police close in.
Also starring in this beast: Shannon Doherty (lookin’ foxy below), Jeff Anderson, Brad Dourif, Doug Bradley, David Hess, Giovanni Lombardo Radice, Claire King, Sarah Barrand, Stuart Cable and Stephanie James. Pretty goddamn cool cast right there! Filming, under the direction of Andrew Jones, begins in October.
