Filming wraps on The Guest writer Simon Barrett’s Seance

The Guest Dan Stevens Adam Wingard

Over the last couple months, we've been following the progress of a project called SEANCE, the feature directorial debut of YOU'RE NEXT and THE GUEST (pictured above) writer Simon Barrett. In October, Suki Waterhouse signed on to play the lead role of

Camille, a young woman who arrives at the Fairfield Academy following one of the student’s untimely and violent death.

Filming began soon after, and we learned that Waterhouse was joined in the cast by Inanna Sarkis as Alice, "a first-class mean girl who stages a seance as a joke that sparks a rash of murders with an apparent supernatural twist", and Madisen Beaty as Bethany, "a top student at the school who joins the girls in holding a seance."

Now Barrett has taken to his Facebook account that SEANCE has wrapped production after 22 shooting days in Winnipeg. His post was accompanied by a picture of him on set with Waterhouse, and he said that it's going to be the only image he posts "because it reveals nothing and I don't want people to be sick of our film before it comes out."

Adam Wingard and Alex Mace are producing SEANCE alongside Dark Castle, HanWay, Ingenious, and Addictive Pictures' John Schoenfelder, Russell Ackerman, and Tomas Deckaj. Dark Castle's Hal Sadoff serves as executive producer.

Barrett doesn't intend for us to hear much more about SEANCE until it's ready for release, but we'll let you know when we hear what the release plans are.
