Seance image gallery features Suki Waterhouse, schoolgirls, and blood

Last week, we got our first look at the trailer for the the "horror whodunit" Seance, the feature directorial debut of You're Next and The Guest writer Simon Barrett. You can see that in the embed above. The trailer has been followed closely by a batch of images, which can be seen below. These images feature star Suki Waterhouse, a bit of blood, and several schoolgirls – which makes sense, given that Seance is set at "the prestigious Edelvine Academy for Girls".

Oh, and there also appears to be some kind of masked stalker.

Barrett describes his film as a "giallo slasher throwback". He told Entertainment Weekly it's

a murder mystery set at a girls boarding school where a young woman recently died. Our hero moves into her dorm room, which is believed to be haunted, and sets about trying to find out what happened."

Waterhouse plays heroine Camille, and is joined in the cast by Inanna Sarkis as Alice, "a first-class mean girl who stages a seance as a joke that sparks a rash of murders with an apparent supernatural twist", and Madisen Beaty as Bethany, "a top student at the school who joins the girls in holding a seance." Also in the cast are Ella-Rae Smith, Seamus Patterson, and Marina Stephenson-Kerr.

Seance is set to reach theatres and VOD on May 21st, and will be available to watch on the Shudder streaming service later in the year.
