It's been nearly 5 months since Peyton Reed was announced as the succesory to Edgar Wright in directing ANT-MAN, and while we've seen our two leads (Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas) in promotional stills for the film, this is the first time we get to see them in motion. Debuting on ABC, this behind-the-scenes look shows a little of the "Ant-men" in a laboratory, as well as some nifty footage of AGE OF ULTRON in action.

Check it out:

Despite being upset at Wright's departure, I'm still very much excited about an ANT-MAN film, especially with Paul Rudd playing the titular character. Marvel has a knack for hiring charismatic leads and I hope come the time of the INFINITY WARS, Scott Lang can get in on the action. As for as Reed goes . . . well, no one thought much of the Russo brothers when they were brought on to helm THE WINTER SOLDIER. Here's hoping Marvel sees what a lot of folks don't, and that Reed delivers a fun and unique picture come next July.

ANT-MAN will hit theaters July 17, 2015.
