It was just the other day I was telling you all a release date had been announced for that highly anticipated MORTAL KOMBAT miniseries and here I am today to give you all a look at a clip from the project! Excited? Of course you are!

But that’s not all! Thanks to a recent press release from Warner Bros. we also found out the official title for this little series: MORTAL KOMBAT: LEGACY. Nice. Whenever you toss the word ‘legacy’ onto something it instantly becomes legit. Don’t try and deny it, it’s a law… like water or dinosaurs. (“The League” reference… sorry.)
Written by Kevin Tancharoen , Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing, “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” is an anthology of nine live action shorts, and brings to life the motivation behind each character’s participation in the Mortal Kombat tournament. Each episode will provide never-before-revealed insights into characters featured in the upcoming videogame as well as the game’s universe.
Tancharoen is also in the director’s seat for this project, which is set to premiere April 12th over at Machinima’s YouTube channel, which can be found right over HERE. Now according to IMDB the characters showing up in this thing include ‘Major Jackson ‘Jax’ Briggs, Sonya Blade, Cyrax, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage, Raiden, Mileena, Kitana, Queen Sindel, Kano and Sektor’ among others. The stars playing said characters are Michael Jai White, Jeri Ryan (below), Shane Warren Jones, Kevan Ohtsji, Matt Mullins, Ryan Robbins, Jolene Tran, Sam Tjhia, Beatrice Ilq, Darren Shahlavi and Peter Shinkoda, respectively. Get ready folks because MORTAL KOMBAT begins this Tuesday!
