First clip from WWE’s Leprechaun: Origins starring Hornswoggle

The first clip from WWE’s upcoming LEPRECHAUN: ORIGINS has been released, and oddly enough there isn’t a leprechaun to be found in it. You’d think they’d want to show off their villain, but I guess not. Instead, we get a pretty young thing looking out of a window and being startled. Not terribly exciting.

No official synopsis for the film has been released yet, but does it really matter? The tone is supposedly “darker” than the goofy Warwick Davis films, but when the main character is a leprechaun played by a wrestler named Hornswoggle, I wonder just how dark it can be.

Zach Lipovsky directed LEPRECHAUN: ORIGINS from a screenplay by Matt Venne and Harris Wilkinson. It’s due to be released this summer.
