Didn’t know Roger Corman was making a sequel to his Syfy Channel “hit” SHARKTOPUS? You can’t be blamed. But it is indeed happening, and it’s coming at us sooner than you think! SHARKTOPUS VS. PTERACUDA – seriously – is premiering on August 2nd on Syfy (just a week after SHARKNADO), and the first promo image has been released. It gives you everything you require.

Here is the “plot,” such as it is:

SHARKTOPUS VS PTERACUDA finds an American scientist, Robert Carradine (DJANGO UNCHAINED) up to no good (as usual) by creating the half-pterodactyl, half-barracuda: Pteracuda. When the creature inevitably escapes, it’s up to Sharktopus to stop him. Human Katie Savoy (LIVING WITH MODELS) also stars.

Seems like Sharktopus is actually playing the hero this time around, which is pretty cool… Did I actually just type that? Man…
