Normally, hearing the words SEX TAPE and Cameron Diaz would have me Googling like crazy, but instead of subjecting you all to that, why not just take a look at the first image above from the movie SEX TAPE, starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel.

Previously titled BASIC MATH, SEX TAPE is a comedy from Jake Kasdan who directed Diaz and Segel in the utterly forgettable BAD TEACHER. Here, they reunite to make another sex-based comedy that is trying to be edgy while also mimicking countless other similar films.

When Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) first got together, their romantic connection was intense – but 10 years and two kids later, the flame of their love needs a spark. So they decide to make a video of themselves trying out every position in The Joy of Sex in one marathon three-hour session. But suddenly, their most private video is no longer private. They’re just one click away from being laid bare to the world, but as their race to reclaim their video leads to a night they’ll never forget, the video may also expose more than they bargained for.

Okay, so Diaz and Segel are intriguing enough that this may be worth checking out, but Kasdan definitely burned some bridges with BAD TEACHER. Still, ORANGE COUNTY and WALK HARD are good enough that I have some faith this could be good. Wait, the screenplay comes from Kate Angelo who wrote the awful Jennifer Lopez movie THE BACK-UP PLAN. Yeah, this movie is f*cked.

SEX TAPE opens July 25th.
