The first poster for Joseph Kosinski’s OBLIVION has premiered over at IGN, but you can take a look at it below. ‘Tis a lovely one-sheet for the futuristic thriller, wouldn’t you agree?

In addition to this little piece of OBLIVION, it has been revealed that the first trailer for the film will be unveiled this Sunday, December 9th, on Apple. Naturally, we’ll have it for you as soon as it’s available; we’re pretty anxious to get a look at this flick.

Jack Harper (Tom Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Jack’s mission is nearly complete.

Living in and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.

Also starring Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Zoe Bell and Melissa Leo, OBLIVION opens exclusively in IMAX on April 12 and then in wide release April 19, 2013.
