First poster for X-Men: Apocalypse teases a look at the titular villain

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE delivered the goods at Comic Con yesterday with a big cast turnout and a first teaser trailer was shown but that has yet to be turned over to the Internet for drooling. What we can show you now is a look at the SDCC exclusive poster for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE with a hand drawn look at Oscar Isaac‘s titular character.

His head large and looming over the wreckage of Xavier’s school, this take on Apocalypse looks similar to the comic book iterations of the villain but with more human characteristics. While this is a two color illustrations, Apocalypse does not appear to have such an exaggerated visage as he does in animated or illustrated form. He still cuts an imposing presence which should make him quite the foe.

One tidbit coming out of the panel is that the film will be set in 1983 with it sounding like the Four Horsemen will be comprised of Angel, Storm, Psylocke, and Magneto. We will bring you more details shortly thanks to our crack team on site at Comic Con this weekend.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
