It’s Upfront week in the TV world and that brought us some early looks at some new horror and sci-fi-themed shows, including promos for “Constantine” at NBC (which you can see HERE) and “Wayward Pines” at Fox (peep that one HERE). Now we've gotten ourselves a look at a new ABC offering with a 3-minute promo for "The Whispers", starring "American Horror Story's" Lily Rabe.
You may recall that we first brought you word on this new sci-fi thriller series back in January when it was announced under the title "The Visitors". We later learned that "Heroes" star Milo Ventimiglia had joined the cast, followed by the news that Lily Rabe of "American Horror Story" had signed on to topline the series. Now we've got your first look at the newly titled "The Whispers" (a better title, I think), which actually looks rather promising.
Here’s a brief description from the ABC site:
Aliens have invaded Earth by using our most unlikely resource to achieve world domination—our children. As the kids unwittingly help these unseen enemies, the clock counts down in this suspenseful race to save humanity.
The show also stars Barry Sloane, Derek Webster, and Brianna Brown. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
