Not too long ago we learned that one ‘Jeklly/Hyde’ flick had lost it’s director. Well it seems the ‘other Jekyll/Hyde’ flick JEKYLL AND HYDE just lost one of it’s stars.
The last update we got on JEKYLL AND HYDE made it seem like everything was nearly good to go. Well that is not the case at all. Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker recently let loose to ShockTillYouDrop that he is no longer attached to JEKYLL AND HYDE. Whitaker was set to play Dr. Jekyll to Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson’s Mr. Hyde. Twas not to be.
Unfortunately no reasons are given as to why Whitaker left the project but one could speculate.. Scheduling conflict? Most likely. Anyone out there have any other theories? I don’t recall any drama coming from the production and this seemed like a solid project for Whitaker. Though I would’ve preferred to see the talented actor tackle Mr. Hyde instead of Dr. Jekyll. So this leaves Curtis Jackson as the sole star of the film for the time being. Well there goes that.
So did your interest in JEKYLL AND HYDE run out the door with Whitaker? Mine sure did. I’m sure another actor will start circling the project soon so be sure to keep it here for more on JEKYLL AND HYDE as we hear it!
