I know I’m not the only one who feels as though the 80s was a decade when horror (or at least slashers) was at it’s absolute finest (not to mention hardcore action movies). Just look at today, with films like MY BLOODY VALENTINE and FRIDAY THE 13TH being remade, there’s really no question as to the decade’s greatness in horror.
Therefore, remakes from the era are no surprise, and spins on the decade (and the genre) are inevitable. Case in point, Fortress Features has announced that their developing a little flick called TEASE, written by Scott Stewart, a flick pitched as a fresh spin on the 1980’s teen horror genre.
Unfortunately, that’s all that’s known about TEASE at this point (and what a tease it is!), but who wouldn’t be excited, or at least somewhat curious, about what kind of ‘fresh spin’ they’re gonna pull on the 80s horror film. Couldn’t be any worse on the 90s spin on the 80s horror film, right? And actually, that had very good results (SCREAM), so why not give TEASE a chance, right?
