One flick that is looking pretty solid is Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego’s APOLLO 18. For something that started as a PARANORMAL ACTIVITY ripoff APOLLO 18 has really morphed into much more than that. Then again we’ve all been fooled by trailers before, haven’t we?

In an attempt to keep your interest until the flick’s August release date a new app has appeard on it’s official Facebook page. The app is called MISSIONS and it’s got two timelines posted on it. “The Apollo Timeline” and “USA vs USSR.” Now right now only “The Apollo Timeline” is available with plans to put the “USA vs USSR” one up closer to APOLLO 18’s release.

So what is “The Apollo Timeline?” Check it: A retrospective timeline on the past Apollo missions. The timeline recaps the first 17 Apollo missions. Pretty cool right? Head on over to APOLLO 18’s Facebook to check that out!

Officially, Apollo 17—launched December 17th, 1972—was the last manned mission to the moon. But a year later, in December of 1973, two American astronauts were sent on a secret mission to the moon funded by the US Department of Defense. What you are about to see is the actual footage that the astronauts captured on that mission. While NASA denies its authenticity, others say it’s the real reason we’ve never gone back to the moon.

APOLLO 18 is set to land in theaters starting August 26th!
