For that who will be taking the journey to the midnight IMAX screenings of Peter Jackson‘s THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY next month, a special treat awaits you; that of four separate IMAX posters, featuring Bilbo, Gandalf, Thorin, and Gollum, each rendered in a stylish, artistic fashion befitting of the IMAX exclusive poster venue.  The film premiered in New Zealand yesterday to much acclaim, and actor Martin Freeman who plays Bilbo thinks it may be the best yet. “He’s done it again,” Freeman said in an interview on the red carpet. “If it’s possible, it’s probably even better than The Lord of the Rings. I think he’s surpassed it.”

Here’s the IMAX exclusive posters:

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is going to start hauling in money by the boatload when it opens everywhere on December 14, 2012.
