French UW3 poster

In some countries, today is the celebrated New Poster Day, where new posters are revealed and massive amount of drinking ensues (when it’s a holiday, any reason is a good reason to drink). To help celebrate, we caught new posters for DEAD SNOW, GRACE, and DYING BREED earlier today, and now I present to you the new French poster for UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS!

Compared to the previous LYCANS poster we’ve seen, this one rocks the Casbah. Compared to a good poster, however, this thing is just OK. I like that Rhona Mitra isn’t so photoshopped, and that there are werewolves and shite in the background–that’s classy. It’s also interesting to see that, in France, it’s actually called UNDERWORLD 3… those Frenchies don’t f*ck around, do they?

Not that this poster changes my mind about how RISE OF THE LYCANS is going to turn out (i.e., piece of crap), but it did restore my faith in humanity that a movie with so many millions of dollars wrapped up in it finally produced a poster worth looking at. Bravo.

UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS hits theaters everywhere January 23rd. Now drink some High Life and celebrate New Posters Day in style!

Thanks to
Louisa Marie Santiague for the heads up!
