Here’s another reason why cable sucks nowadays.
In a press release sent to us this afternoon, Monsters HD, the first-ever and only 24-hour channel devoted exclusively to horror and creature features, is having a little all-day marathon next Friday. Can you guess what the marathon will be about?
Right on! Yes, viewers will get the opportunity to watch seven back-to-back FRIDAY THE 13TH films – all uncut and in high definition. Granted, uncut could just mean that the films won’t have any stuff cut out for TV viewers, or it could mean we get Kevin Bacon’s neck squirting at the camera. Whatever the case, PARTY ON!
Here’s how the schedule breaks down (all times EST):
- 6:00AM & 5:15PM – FRIDAY THE 13TH
- 7:45AM & 7:00PM – FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2
- 9:15AM & 8:30PM – FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 4
- 11:00AM & 10:15PM – FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 5
- 12:45PM & 12:00AM – FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 6
- 2:15PM & 1:30AM – FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 8
- 3:45PM & 3:00AM – JASON GOES TO HELL
Oddly enough, we miss out on PART 3, PART 7 and JASON X. Why? Who knows, since Monsters HD recently signed multi-year licensing deals with New Line Television and Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution. Ah well, at least we get JASON LIVES, which in itself makes up for PART 3. Then again, nothing could make up for omitting THE NEW BLOOD! Grrr…
