Well folks back in November I gave you all a look at some early teaser art for Marcus Dunstan’s THE COLLECTION, the long awaited sequel to his slasher THE COLLECTOR. Now that was a few months ago… which in this industry is ages! So that’s why I’m coming to you today with another update on the slasher sequel.
Over at the Internet Movie Database we’ve got a full cast list for THE COLLECTION. While most of the names are relative unknowns it’s still a nifty little update for a project we haven’t heard from in several weeks. Mind you we all know how accurate IMDB can be so take this for what it’s worth. Joining Josh Stewart in another battle with ‘The Collector’ will be Johnny Yong Bosch, Emma Fitzpatrick (below), Shannon Kane, Tim Griffin, William Peltz, Eaddy Mays, Michael Nardelli, Justin Mortelliti, Michael H. Cole, Arloa Reston and Courtney Lauren Cummings. Like I said… no big names. Dread Central adds that Lee Tergesen and Christopher ‘Shooter McGavin’ McDonald are also joining the cast via an interview they had with THE COLLECTION co-scribe Patrick Melton. They’ve also got a look at the first set photo from production, which is two days in, so you’ll want to click through right over HERE to check that out.
Arkin escapes with his life from the vicious grips of “The Collector” during an entrapment party where he adds beautiful Elena to his “Collection.” Instead of recovering from the trauma, Arkin is suddenly abducted from the hospital by mercenaries hired by Elena’s wealthy father. Arkin is blackmailed to team up with the mercenaries and track down The Collector’s booby trapped hide out and save Elena from his sadistic rituals. “The Collection” is a perfect cocktail of primal horror and action suspense thriller in real 3D.
So there you have it folks. A teaser poster, a full cast list and the news that the flick is currently filming. We should be getting lots more COLLECTION news in the coming weeks so be sure to check back soon for updates.
