Full Moon: Miskatonic U sequel is filming, titles of next 7 films announced – Exclusive!

We’re big fans of the legendary Full Moon Features here at Arrow in the Head, and today we’re proud to share an EXCLUSIVE announcement on the company’s latest production and the next seven projects that are going to start filming!

First up is a sequel to last year’s two-part feature Miskatonic U: The Resonator, which was inspired by both the works of legendary fiction writer H.P. Lovecraft and beloved genre director Stuart Gordon. The new entry in the Miskatonic U series, which is being described as “Lovecraft meets Riverdale“, just started filming yesterday, December 6th, at the Full Moon Manor in Cleveland!

Miskatonic U: The Resonator had the following synopsis:

Set in the fictional college campus “Miskatonic University” in Arkham, Massachusetts where all sorts of fantastic and unworldly events have been known to unfold in Lovecraft lore, THE RESONATOR: MISKATONIC U follows six gifted students as they navigate life after one of them, Crawford Tillinghast, builds a machine known as the “Resonator”.  The machine allows one to experience multiple dimensions while navigating the unsavory beasts that dwell within them. But things get complicated when Tillinghast realizes that the prototype of his creation has not only released murderous and deadly creatures into his world, but also has affected his own reality.

Full Moon provided the following information on the continuation:

This season of Miskatonic U is bigger, better, bloodier and certainly slimier than ever. The story follows our leading character Crawford Tillinghast (Dane Oliver) as he attempts to rebuild his Resonator device and restore the damage he’s done to the multiple dimensions he opened and looked into last year. If Crawford doesn’t restore the device perfectly, not only will his own reality will continue to come unraveled, but the entire city of Arkham could be vaporized in a hellish blackhole that is slowly opening as a result of his work. One false move and it will be total destruction created by a thousand beasts from unknown fathoms.

Also joining campus is legendary fictional character “Herbert West” of Lovecraft Re-Animator fame, played deliciously by Joshua Cole who nails the character with both a diabolical and humorous interpretation of the student hellbent on bringing the dead back to life. After several messy failed attempts to reanimate the dead, West eventually gets his formula right, only for it to fall into the wrong hands.

Full Moon founder Charles Band recently said that director William Butler would soon be going into production four more chapters of Miskatonic U and four more chapters of the Demonic Toys spin-off Baby Oopsie – so it’s no surprise to see that Baby Oopsie is on Full Moon’s slate of upcoming productions.

The list of Full Moon projects that will soon be filming are:

Attack of the 50 Foot Camgirl

The Seduction of Rose Parrish

Scream of the Blind Dead

Doktor Death (a Puppet Master spin-off)

Baby Oopsie

Subspecies 5

Famous T&A 2

So there’s a lot more Full Moon fun coming our way in the immediate future.

Fans of Full Moon are also encouraged to check out Charles Band’s newly released memoir Confessions of a Puppetmaster: A Hollywood Memoir of Ghouls, Guts, and Gonzo Filmmaking. Copies can be ordered at THIS LINK!
