The animated comedy HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA from Genndy Tartakovsky has a new trailer, featuring the voice talents of Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, Jon Lovitz, Molly Shannon, Cee-Lo Green, and Fran Drescher. In the pic, Dracula (Sandler) runs a “monster resort” where he lives with his daughter, Mavis (Gomez). When a human (Samberg) discovers the castle and starts to fall for Mavis, Dracula goes into overprotective mode, all while hosting a bevy of guests.

Without the involvement of Tartakovsky I might have written this one off, but having someone with his unique animation skills, I’m hoping this transcends above a bunch of gimmicky monster jokes. It looks pretty fun, all in all. Perhaps Sandler and Samberg will fare better as animated figures instead of a father/son team in THAT’S MY BOY.
HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA will open it’s doors on September 21, 2012.
