The fifth installment will be directed by Jennifer Kluska and Alan Hawkins, with Lawrence Jonas producing. Franchise creator Genndy Tartakovsky and longtime producer Michelle Murdocca will serve as executive producers. Dracula returns for another spooky adventure

Sony has also revealed the official plot synopsis for the new animated sequel:

In this latest instalment, Dracula has happily settled into retirement while his daughter, Mavis, takes the reins of the legendary monster hotel. But when a series of spooky and unexplained happenings sends chills through the resort, the Drac Pack embarks on its most spellbinding adventure yet: uncovering the mystery behind “The Haunting of Hotel Transylvania.”

The story marks a significant shift for the franchise, placing Mavis in charge of the iconic monster resort while Dracula enjoys retirement… until mysterious supernatural events force the Drac Pack back into action.

  • Hotel Transylvania (2012): $355 million worldwide
  • Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015): $475 million worldwide
  • Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018): $530 million worldwide

The most recent entry, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, skipped theaters and debuted exclusively on Prime Video in 2022.

With The Haunting of Hotel Transylvania, the franchise returns to the big screen for the first time in nine years, bringing Dracula, Mavis, and the rest of the Drac Pack back to theaters with an all-new mystery centered around strange paranormal events inside the legendary monster hotel.
