Gellar Visits Alice

It’s always fun to see a project finally get going after years in development hell. Such is the case for ALICE, an adaptation of the video game by American McGee for Electronic Arts. The project was originally developed at Dimension for Wes Craven, but now will come to us from Universal with Marcus Nispel (TCM remake) at the helm and Sarah Michelle Gellar set to star.

The story picks up Alice after her home has been destroyed and her family killed. The sole survivor of the disaster, she returns to a dark and threatening Wonderland where she must confront her fears before returning to her normal life.

Nice, right? And if that doesn’t sound completely genre-y to you yet, cllick on the pic above to check out the full size version, and then tell me there’s any chance in hell you’re not going to go see this flick.

I have a feeling that there will be some grumbling about Gellar as Alice, but she’s been good in everything I’ve seen her in, so I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt.
