Gens doing Fallout

Xavier Gens, the French madman who brought us FRONTIERE(S) and HITMAN, will be bringing his particular brand of insanity to the future with THE FALLOUT, a post-apocalyptic tale that the producers are comparing to ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 and THE LORD OF THE FLIES.

Unfortunately, outside of that, little is known about the story, although producer Darryn Welch had the following to say: “With a collective of ‘End of the World’ movies hitting the theatres presently, this film will undoubtedly stand out like a ravenous Pit bull in a school playground… brace yourselves cause this film has a serious bite to it!”

The flick is set in New York, so I imagine there’s a little ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK sprinkled in as well. It’s due to start principal photography in February 2010 in Eastern Europe. We’ll keep you in the know when we learn more!
