Get Burned In Hell

Looks like we have a new version of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE for all you sadistically fun-loving kiddies. The apt title of this one is BURN IN HELL and I’m sure it’s not for the feint of heart. How does this tagline grope ya: “Murder, abduction, torture, rape, and bloody revenge.” Sounds like something to bring the kids to? Only if you’re trash. And speaking of trash, good genre trash that is, check out BURN’s plot:

The story revolves around the plight of travelers Abigail Fury (nice last name, can you say foreshadowing?) and Nathan Washington, who, following the mechanical failure of their car in a mountainous environ, run afoul of a fanatical religious group. After Nathan’s murder and Abigail’s subsequent rape and torture at the hands of cult leader Elijah and co. (all in the name of “God,” of course), the worshippers, much to their chagrin, find themselves on the pointy end of many a weapon, as Abigail unleashes her vengeful fury in a brutal, exacting and sexually subversive fashion.

Well, it certainly does seem similar to I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE only with a religious twist. I’m almost ashamed to admit that I was able to sit through I SPIT and kinda enjoy it (the woman’s revenge part mostly). BURN IN HELL sounds like it may possess the goods to deliver the same kind of retributional fun. And I’m cool with that!

The flick was directed by Corey Harrell and stars Resminé Atis, Harrell himself, Matt Reidy, Brett Herrick, Casey Carver, Jean Buccola, China Schauer, and Tito Ortiz (ZOMBIE STRIPPERS). BURN IN HELL is currently shopping for distribution. You can check out its official website here.
