You may have forgotten about WELCOME TO THE RILEYS.

This is the little gem where Kristen Stewart plays a runaway stripper, as if there’s any other kind. James Gandolfini is in the role of the much older man who builds a platonic relationship with the stripper because she reminds him of the daughter he lost.

Our critic, Chris Bumbray checked out the movie during Sundance. While it almost got a bit too “after school special” on him, he still gave the film a rating of 7.5.

Other than an early trailer, we haven’t seen anything else from the film. Today we were sent over two clips as well as a new poster. The clips give you a slight look into the personalities of each main character. The poster is one of those that has way too many pictures on it creating this busy atmosphere. Plus, that expression on Stewart’s face is too much.

Synopsis:

“WELCOME TO THE RILEYS is a powerful drama about finding hope in the most unusual of places. Once a happily married and loving couple, Doug and Lois Riley (James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo) have grown apart since losing their teenage daughter eight years prior. Leaving his agoraphobic wife behind to go on a business trip to New Orleans, Doug meets a 17-year-old runaway (Kristen Stewart) and the two form a platonic bond. For Lois and Doug, what initially appears to be the final straw that will derail their relationship, turns out to be the inspiration they need to renew their marriage.”
