Ghostbusters 1954

JoBloJoBlo

Here’s a clever little mashup trailer put together from pieces of golden age comedies to show what it would be like if GHOSTBUSTERS had been made in the ’50s. Actually, it’s more like empirical proof that GHOSTBUSTERS was made in the ’50s.

Don’t believe me? Check out a few of the titles used in the making of the video: GHOSTS ON THE LOOSE, SPOOKS RUN WILD, GHOST BREAKERS and yes, THE GHOST BUSTERS. And here I thought ghost ray-gun technology wasn’t invented until the ’80s. It’s pretty interesting to watch all these clips and see where the GHOSTBUSTERS we know and love harvested its ideas. But wait, oh God, I can already see it now.

GHOSTBUSTERS prequel.
