Gilliam gets Quixote!

JoBloJoBlo

Terry Gilliam Early this year, production challenged director Terry Gilliam expressed interest in trying once again to get his apparently cursed film THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE made. And now, despite forces seemingly converging to prevent Gilliam from making this movie at all costs, he’ll be teaming up with Oscar-winning British producer Jeremy Thomas to make the film. FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS scribe Tony Grisoni, who had already worked with Gilliam on the script, will be back to likely tweak it a little. The story revolves around a filmmaker who’s tricked into going on Quixote’s quest. Grisoni had this great quote regarding this now decade long project: “Nearly 10 years on, I find myself lending a hand to get that crazed, giggling bedlamite back in the saddle. I’m talking about Don Quixote. In spite of God and the devil, he shall ride again.” Amen, brother.
