Go behind the scenes with these videos from True Detective: Season 2

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Season 2 of HBO's True Detective just started yesterday, and while you can read our review of the first episode here, time will tell if this season can stand alongside the first. While we wait for next week's episode, we have no less than 5 videos that break down the lead characters and give us a look at what it was like making the series. First up are the character spots, breaking down the three police officers played by Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch, as well as the career criminal that is Vince Vaughn.

I'm probably one of the few who loved the first season and haven't had a chance to check out the first episode of the second yet (40th anniversary JAWS screening takes precedence), but I love the character videos here. As with season 1, each character looks to be wrestling with some serious demons, and I can't wait to see how their fates intertwine. Finally, we have a small behind-the-scenes look that includes some cast interviews, as well as Nic Pizzolatto's influence on-set. Looks great!

True Detective will air Sunday nights on HBO.
