Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Recently, we were (finally) able to officially tell you guys that director Michael Doughertry (TRICK 'R TREAT, KRAMPUS) was going to be the director of the new GODZILLA flick. We then learned that Eleven from STRANGER THINGS (aka Millie Bobby Brown) had joined the cast. Very cool.

After that we learned the film had a new, badass title: GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS!

Now, according to omegaunderground.com, production on the new GODZILLA film will begin on June 19th, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia!

That's right near me! Well… kinda. I live in Florida. But Georgia is a hell of a lot closer than Hollywood. Every year I get closer and closer to the big budget spectacles. Take that, mom.

GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS is the third film in the GODZILLA/KING KONG shared universe WB is setting up. The first was GODZILLA, with the second, KONG: SKULL ISLAND, hitting  us on March 10, 2017.

After that GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS which is expected to hit on March 22, 2019. With GODZILLA VERSUS KING KONG stomping in on May 29, 2020.
