Whatever happens to Godzilla during the course of events during GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS, it will no doubt be a playground brawl compared to what he has waiting for him in GODZILLA VS. KONG. Legendary put out the first plot synopsis, which teases a “spectacular battle for the ages.”
In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
This comes after the post from Legendary Pictures yesterday announcing that production has begun on GODZILLA VS. KONG. The picture shows a still of Godzilla looking mighty in his 2014 movie, which in effect is a massive burn towards Kong. Oh, it’s on for sure.
