Gotham Knights trailer gives the first look at new DC series from The CW

The CW has released the first trailer for Gotham Knights, the latest DC series from the network that’s given us Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Superman & Lois, and more.

The Gotham Knights series take place in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder as his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviours known as the Gotham Knights. The CW officially ordered Gotham Knights straight-to-series earlier this month alongside Supernatural prequel series The Winchesters and Walker: Independence, a Walker origin story. The Gotham Knights trailer definitely has The CW written all over it, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on your stomach for teenage angst.

Gotham Knights stars Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, and Misha Collins as Harvey Dent. Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, all alums of The CW’s Batwoman series, have penned the Gotham Knights series, with Fiveash and Stoteraux also serving as executive producers alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden, with Abrams co-executive producing.

Reactions to the Gotham Knights trailer on social media haven’t been kind, with some saying that the new series looks like Riverdale meets Gotham. What did you think of the Gotham Knights trailer?
