Doug Bradley may be best known for playing Pinhead in the Hellraiser franchise, but now he will take on the villain who set one of DC’s greatest heroes on his path — Joe Chill. Doug Bradley will play the character in episode six of Gotham Knights on The CW. Joe Chill has spent fifty years rotting on death row, but with his execution finally scheduled, the notorious “Patron Saint of Bad Guys” isn’t about to let his secrets die with him.

When casting the iconic role of Joe Chill, arguably the man who created Batman, there was only one name we considered … Doug Bradley,” reads a statement from Gotham Knights producers Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash, and James Stoteraux. “We needed an actor with the kind of gravitas that would do justice to such a seminal character in DC Comics canon. And who better to embody the role of the classic Gotham fiend than the man whose legendary portrayal of another classic fiend – Pinhead in the Hellraiser franchise — continues to terrify generations of horror fans?”

The Gotham Knights series take place in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder as his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviours known as the Gotham Knights.

Gotham Knights stars Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, and Misha Collins as Harvey Dent. Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, all alums of The CW’s Batwoman series, have penned the Gotham Knights series, with Fiveash and Stoteraux also serving as executive producers alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden, with Abrams co-executive producing.

Gotham Knights will premiere on The CW on March 14th.
