Grab your chimichangas, because Deadpool 2 starts shooting real soon

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Despite the mega-success of the first DEADPOOL film, its sequel, DEADPOOL 2, has experienced a bit of trouble these past few months. At one time, the powers that be had us thinking that the film would get its start as early as January of this year, but when director Tim Miller dropped off of the project, things got a bit dicey. Most recently, JOHN WICK 2's David Leitch has signed on to direct the film, which so far has things moving along at a steadier pace. At this time, actors Ryan Reynolds, Brianna Hilderbrand, and Karan Soni are the Marvel action romance film's only confirmed stars, but now that a shooting date beginning on May 1st, 2017 has been rumored, we can expect to be hearing a lot more in the weeks to come.

And speaking of Hollywood whispers, flies on walls have buzzed about the idea of Kerry Washington assuming the role of Domino, but the actress has since denied rumors that she's landed the part. Another name being tossed around the DEADPOOL 2 rumor mill is none other than Bond alum Pierce Brosnan. Recently, the Fop-haired actor has been seen hanging out with both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, which got people's lips a flappin' right quick. Unfortunately, there's no word on whether or not Brosnan will be tying one too many pouches to his utility belt to play the time-traveling hardass, but it hasn't been ruled out either.

Well, this has been your DEADPOOL 2 hot take for the afternoon. Or, maybe some other tidbit of information will drop before it's time to celebrate Taco Tuesday with a delicious dinner made of spicy chicken wraps and verde salsa. Dammit, now I'm hungry for Mexican food. Anyway, DEADPOOL 2 is slated for a 2018 release, and you can bet that we'll be keeping a close eye on the details of this film as they roll out.
