We've got some great news for all you Gerard Butler fans out there! GREENLAND, the actor's new disaster flick, will become available in homes on Friday, December 18 at the price of $19.99 for a 48-hour rental period.
News of the film's move to PVOD is bound to please those who delight in world-ending action films, even though it feels like much of that is happening just outside your door. The movie opened in the No. 1 slot in 24 offshore markets grossing over $45M off a $35M production budget. When you take that gain, then add the upcoming PVOD sales to the mix, it looks as if GREENLAND could become a solid hit in a year when most films are struggling on their way to the screen.
“Greenland has been a hit everywhere in the world, so it’s exciting to bring it to American audiences on PVOD,” said Adam Fogelson, chairman, STXfilms Motion Picture Group.

Ric Roman Waugh directed the film from a script penned by Chris Sparling. David Denman, Hope Davis, Andrew Bachelor, Merrin Dungey, with Holt McCallany, and Scott Glenn also star.
GREENLAND is set to collide with PVOD services beginning on December 18, 2020.
