What’s New to Watch on Blu-ray: Honest Thief, Gen Rei and more!

Congratulations, folks! If you're reading this, it means that you've made it to the last Tuesday of 2020 as well as the final round of Blu-ray releases for the year. I wish that I could tell you that we're going out with a bang, but honestly, it's more like a whimper. This is to be expected though, seeing as 2020 was a new film release shit show and most films have already had their Blu-ray debut at this stage of the game. That being said, there are movies coming out this Tuesday and dammit, we're going to talk about them.

First up on the chopping block is director Mark Williams' Honest Thief, starring Liam Neeson in yet another action movie where the actor dispences bad guys with a certain set of skills. In the film, Neeson stars as Tom Dolan, a notorious bank robber who turns himself in, only to be double-crossed by two ruthless FBI agents. Can you imagine? The nerve of some people!

Beyond that, Gin Rei: The Complete OVA Series is also making its Blu-ray debut this week. In episode one, Ginrei's dress is stolen, only to be used to fool the enemy. The second episode deals with a giant robot made exactly in her image. Finally, the third episode concerns Tetsugyu and Ginrei investigating a lost research team in a "wild west" desert setting. If you like your anime starring scantily clad women with guns, Gin Rei: The Complete OVA Series could be the year-end animation to own for you!

If you're not in the mood for anime, there are still a few live-action offerings up for grabs this week including The Last Warriors, Two Ways Home, and The Last Shift.
