I loved MACHETE. The sheer grindhouse and batshit crazy action movie brought back memories of all of the great action movies from the 70s and 80s. It is the role Danny Trejo was born to play. That being said, bringing in a litany of famous faces to populate the insane antics doesn’t hurt things. MACHETE KILLS certainly feels like Robert Rodriguez is continuing to amp up the gory deaths and cheesy one-liners but keeps the budget low. The result is a smorgasbord of goofy fun.
This new red-band trailer lets the f-bombs fly and features Mel Gibson having more fun in a role than we have seen in a long time. Add to that our first dialogue from Lady Gaga and multiple quotes from Carlos Estevez, I mean Charlie Sheen, as The President. MACHETE KILLS is gonna be a blast.
