GWAR speaks!

A few days back we told you about Shocker Toys acquiring the license to produce figures based on the British 2000AD Comic, and most notably JUDGE DREDD. We also dropped a tidbit about the GWAR license as well, which would make its debut at ToyFair 2006. The figures were designed by Brian Dooley who made a name for himself with killer work on some of Sideshow’s Freddy and Jason pieces. Each 7 inch figure will feature multiple points of articulation, and feature butt-kicking action.

Well, Action-Figures caught up with Beefcake the Mighty himself to talk about the recent reveal of some of the scuplts for the figures, which look pretty damn cool. Right off the bat, the issue of McFarlane Toys continally dropping the ball when it came to producing GWAR figures, which never came about (7 years is a long time). Beefcake disses McFarlane Toys for doing so, saying that McFarlane feeling that GWAR is “too low-brow, or in fact uni-brow for his
clientèle is laughable.”
In typical GWAR fashion, the interview delved into topics ranging from fire-breathing ostriches, Lindsay Lohan’s diet pill supplier and GWAR Lego worlds. It’s a fun article, so head here to enjoy a good Friday read.
