According to The Hollywood Reporter, DEAD SNOW director Tommy Wirkol is working on his next flick… get ready for it… HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS!
I shit you not! Here’s the brief description of what he has in mind: the poor siblings 15 years after that whole gingerbread house incident. Simply put, they’re now specialized bounty hunters looking to put down the cackling black-hat set.
A somewhat of a revenge story on witches, since it was a witch who destroyed their lives oh so long ago. What’s next, THREE LITTLE PIGS & LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: WOLF KILLERS? Actually, that might be kind of cool…
The good news about this is that they’re going for a more humorous tone (while heavy in horror) along the likes of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and EVIL DEAD 2, which is good, cause if they played it straight-up serious, I don’t think I could take it… well, seriously.
