Halloween Ends novelization, written by one of the screenwriters, is now available

With this past weekend’s theatrical and Peacock streaming release of Halloween Ends (read our review HERE), director David Gordon Green‘s trilogy of Halloween sequels has come to an end. And while I haven’t always been enamored with Green’s approach to the franchise, I do appreciate the fact that every one of his Halloween movies has gotten a novelization. The Halloween 2018 novelization was written by John Passarella (you can pick up a copy of the book HERE), Halloween Kills received a novelization by Tim Waggoner (get it at THIS LINK), and now Halloween Ends has a novelization that was written by Paul Brad Logan, one of the film’s four screenwriters! You can order a copy on Amazon, where’s it available in paperback, Kindle, and audiobook editions.

Green and Logan wrote the Halloween Ends screenplay with Danny McBride and Chris Bernier, crafting a story that has the following synopsis:

Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham, is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.

The Halloween Ends novelization could offer a deeper exploration into the mindsets of the film’s characters, so it will be interesting to see if Logan did that in his prose version of the story.

Are you a fan of novelizations, and have you read the novelizations of Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills? Will you be reading the Halloween Ends novelization? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
