I can’t believe that HALLOWEEN has already reached its 30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. After all this time, it stills packs a perfect set of scares that continue to hold up to this day. Personally, I feel that its horror/slasher greatness has yet to be topped. After 30 years, that’s quite an accomplishment.
And now, to commemorate this milestone, Devil’s Due comics has done something extremely cool! What is it? Well, they’re releasing a double-sized issue of five short stories featuring Michael Myers, Laurie Strode, and Dr. Loomis! How friggin’ awesome is that?! And check out the amazing artwork above and below! The issue was written by Stefan Hutchinson and features a cover by Tom Mandrake (Batman, The Specter, Grimjack), and interior art by Danijel Zezelj (Desolation Jones, Loveless, Captain America), Tim Seeley (Halloween: Nightdance) and more!
I don’t see how any true HALLOWEEN fan could pass this up. I’ve always wanted more original stories involving the series’ three main (and best) characters. And the issuers of these HALLOWEEN comics really know their shit and have a fond respect for its subtext. Who do I have to kill to get a copy?! Well, maybe I’ll just order it online like everyone else once it becomes available here. No word yet on when it will be available, though.
