Director David Gordon Green’s Halloween Kills is set to reach theatres and the Peacock streaming service on October 15th, and today the final trailer for the film has arrived online. Check it out in the embed above!

Universal is also running a contest for Halloween super fans. Here’s the information:

Starting today, you can enter for your chance to win a trip for two to Los Angeles to be “killed” by Michael Myers (aka The Shape) on the set of your own Hollywood production. To be the lucky victim, record a video explaining why you are the biggest fan of the franchise and include your best horror scream.

Post the video on either TikTok tagging @UniversalPics, or Instagram tagging @HalloweenMovie and include the hashtags #HalloweenKills and #FaceTheShapeContest in the copy of your post.  The contest will end on 9/26 at 11:59pm and the winner will be notified on 9/27. The shoot will take place on 10/5 in Los Angeles.

Green’s Halloween 2018 (watch it HERE) ignored all of the other Halloween movies except for John Carpenter’s original (which you can watch HERE). Scripted by Green, Danny McBride, and Scott Teems, Halloween Kills is set on the same night as its predecessor.

Minutes after Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor. But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all. Evil dies tonight.

Myers is going to be crossing paths with a lot of familiar faces in this one. In addition to returning stars Curtis, Greer, and Matichak, we’re also getting Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam (a character from the original film), Dylan Arnold back as Allyson’s boyfriend / Lonnie’s son Cameron, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace (reprising a role she first played in 1978), Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle, Nancy Stephens as Nurse Marion (who she played in the first two films and Halloween H20), Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett from the first two films, Jibrail Nantambu as Halloween 2018 scene stealer Julian, child actress Victoria Paige Watkins as a new character named Christy, and James Jude Courtney as Michael Myers. Original Michael Myers performer Nick Castle also has a one scene cameo.

Green, McBride, and Curtis also serve as executive producers alongside Couper Samuelson and Carpenter. Jason Blum produced with Malek Akkad. John Carpenter has composed the score with Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.

I have to say, I am very concerned for the characters of Lindsey Wallace and Tommy Doyle. I don’t want them to run into Michael Myers again after forty years just for him to kill them this time around. Lindsey is prominently featured in the final trailer, and in the TV spots embedded below.
