Happy Death Day director’s new movie is gleefully R-rated & gory AF

HAPPY DEATH DAY and HAPPY DEATH DAY 2U director Christopher Landon's new FREAKY FRIDAY-esque Blumhouse body-swapping fright flick stars Vince Vaughn (BRAWL IN CELL BLOCK 99) and up-and-comer Kathryn Newton (PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4, DETECTIVE PIKACHU).

And today Landon let us all know the new flick – which I bet will probably be called FREAKY FRIDAY THE 13TH if they can get the rights sorted out – is gory AF, blood-drenched, and gleefully hard R. Check out his tweet below:

Other cast includes Uriah Shelton (R.L. STINE'S THE HAUNTING HOUR) as the female lead's love interest named Booker with Alan Ruck (FERRIS BUELLER), Katie Finneran (WHY WOMEN KILL), Celeste O’Connor (SELAH AND THE SPADES) and Misha Osherovich (NOS4A2).

The film's slim synopsis involves

a killer who wreaks havoc in a small town.

I don't think it's by any means a stretch of the imagination to connect the dots and assume that the movie will center on Vaughn as the serial killer wreaking havoc on a small town who swaps bodies with Newton's character. Sounds interesting to me! What do you think? Let us know below!
