Harden is invisible

Variety has come through again with news on another remake, this time the Swedish thriller/drama/horror THE INVISIBLE is the subject.

Variety reports that Marcia Gay Harden (last seen in BAD NEWS BEARS and currently filming AMERICAN DREAMZ) has joined the cast for the American remake, which includes Justin Chatwin, Margarita Levieva and Chris Marquette. The remake is being helmed by David Goyer, who will try to rebound after so-so results with directing BLADE: TRINITY, and is penned by Mick Davis, based on the 2002 screenplay for the original.

THE INVISIBLE, based on the Swedish DEN OSYNLIGE, is a supernatural thriller about two young teens whose real selves are invisible to others. One teen’s untimely death renders him literally invisible, while the other is metaphorically invisible due to the neglect she’s endured since the death of her mother.
