Haylie Duff (pictured), C. Thomas Howell (THE HITCHER) and Jason Stuart will star in HOME INVASION. Titles don’t get much more straight forward than that, but let’s hope the film itself isn’t so generic. The independent revenge thriller is written and directed by Doug Campbell. Shooting is scheduled to begin on March 8 in Los Angeles, CA. Here is the plotline:
HOME INVASION tells the story of a single mother who fatally shoots a burglar in self-defense and then joins a support group where she makes a friend, not knowing her new pal is the burglar’s girlfriend seeking revenge.
Duff seems to be lobbying for an indie scream queen crown, with recent credits including BACKWOODS, FEAR ISLAND and the upcoming PENNHURST. Do you think she has what it takes to make it in the genre?
