HBO's planned Westworld series ran into a bit of a hiccup at the start of the year, with production shutting down for a few months so that executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy could finish writing the last four scripts. But things have been going well since filming resumed, and the network has announced that the one-hour sci-fi thriller series has been scheduled to premiere this fall.

Inspired by Michael Crichton's 1973 film of the same name, Westworld has been described as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin," and boasts an ensemble cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ben Barnes, Jimmi Simpson, and Clifton Collins Jr.

Nolan has previously said that the team wanted to create "the most ambitious, subversive, f–ked-up television series" with "the things that keep you up at night." How interested are you in checking out Westworld?
