A few months ago it was announced that Edgar Allen Poe’s story THE TELL-TALE HEART inspired a motion picture called TELL-TALE. Back in November we told you that Josh Lucas would be starring. Then last month Eric told us all that Brian Cox had joined the film.
Now STYD are reporting on the news that the female lead has been cast in the beautiful Lena Headey (below). Sounds good to me! Headey is really becoming a genre regular and that’s A OK in my book. She’s gorgeous.
TELL-TALE is about a single father whose recently transplanted heart leads him on a frantic search to find the donor’s killer before a similar fate befalls him. So it’s actually pretty far from Poe’s story.
The film is coming from Scott Free Productions with Scott Free’s Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Michael Costigan, and Social Capital Films’ Martin Shore and Christopher Tuffin all producing. Executive producing the flick will be Dave Callaham, Matthew Chausse, Scott Free’s Malcolm Reeve, Michael Ellenberg, and Steel Co.’s Gordon Steel, and John Baca.
TELL-TALE is scheduled to shoot in Rhode Island from mid-March to late April. Michael Cuesta is directing.
