UPDATE: Check out all five character featurettes for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY along with the official poster!

Now that we have seen the trailer for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, the biggest lingering question is what will Rocket Raccoon and Groot sound like? We have one answer via some new featurettes showcasing Rocket and his houseplant/bodyguard featuring Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel discussing their voice duties in the film.

While we don’t see any shots of Groot speaking, we do get a good indication of how Diesel is approaching the role and the uniqueness of the character. But, even in the short video, we hear Cooper voicing a line as Rocket and it immediately put me at ease. He sounds confident, douchey, and just like Bradley Cooper.

The trailer caught me completely off guard because it is so different from any other Marvel film, which is exactly what was needed. Chris Pratt looks hilarious and the ragtag team seems poised to become every kid’s favorite set of toys.

Check out the Groot and Rocket featurettes, plus one for Drax. We will add the rest as they become available.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY hits theaters on August 1, 2014.
