Heche, Wolff, and Kartheiser join My Friend Dahmer

Nat Wolff

Anne Heche, Alex Wolff (pictured above), and Vincent Kartheiser are joining the previously announced Ross Lynch in the Jeffrey Dahmer biopic MY FRIEND DAHMER, which is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Derf Backderf, who went to school with the cannibalistic serial killer.

Lynch will be playing Dahmer as a teen, with Heche (pictured below) as his mother. Wolff's role is that of a graphic artist, which leads me to suspect that he may be playing Backderf. Details on Kartheiser's role weren't revealed.

MY FRIEND DAHMER

centers on the young Dahmer as he struggles with a difficult family life and thoughts of wanting to kill.

The unusual film follows Dahmer through his senior year of high school and takes him right up to two weeks after high school graduation, when he committed his first murder.

Marc Meyers is directing and wrote the screenplay adaptation. Production is set to begin very soon in the Akron, Ohio area, where Dahmer grew up, with filming locations to include Dahmer's actual childhood home.
